A veterinarian is an animal doctor, but some vets have other talents too. Which of the following famous writers was also a veterinarian?

Although all of the authors in our quiz wrote about animals, only James Herriot was also a veterinarian. Actually, James Herriot was a pseudonym, a pen name for Scottish-born vet James Alfred Wight (1916-1995). His books, including All Creatures Great and Small and All Things Bright and Beautiful, are based on his actual work as a veterinarian tending horses, cows, and other animals in the farms and towns of northern England. Hugh Lofting wrote the Doctor Doolittle stories, E. B. White penned Stuart Little and Charlotte's Web, and A. A. Milne created Winnie the Pooh and his friends.
